Effective date: February 20, 2026 · App version 1.1
SentryLens is a local-network security camera application. This policy explains exactly what data the app accesses, how it is used, and what it never does. SentryLens does not transmit any data off your device or local network.

SentryLens captures still image snapshots and thumbnails when motion is detected. This data:
Object detection (people, pets, vehicles, etc.) is performed using Google ML Kit Image Labeling, which runs entirely on-device. Camera frames are never sent to Google or any external service for this purpose. The ML Kit library itself may be subject to Google's ML Kit Terms of Service.
SentryLens runs a lightweight HTTP server (NanoHTTPD) on your local network so you can view the live feed and event history from a browser on the same Wi-Fi network. This server is only reachable within your local network — it does not expose any data to the public internet unless you have manually configured port forwarding on your router, which we do not recommend.
SentryLens contains no advertising SDKs, no crash reporting services, no usage analytics, and requires no user account or registration of any kind. There is no backend service associated with this application.
We do not sell, share, rent, or otherwise transfer any user data to third parties. There is no data to share — all information stays on your device.
SentryLens is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
